DC BBQ BATTLE: June 27 - 28

Due to scheduling conflicts with The Beer, Bourbon & BBQ festival we have settled on the official NATIONAL CAPITAL BBQ BATTLE the weekend of June 27-28.  I’m checking in to getting an SUV for the weekend to drive down to the BBQ Battle, my parents are excited to host anyone interested in coming down for the weekend, they have plenty of room and a pool so that’s a bonus! I’ve never been to the festival but this is the 17th annual so they must be doing something right! We’re thinking about heading down Friday, going to the festival in DC on Saturday and maybe Maryland blue crabs at the house on Sunday (Kirnsky, Mom will make you brisket instead so you don’t have to go to the ER).  We could head back to NYC late Sunday or crack of dawn Monday, whatever works for anyone coming. I want to rent the transportation asap so we can get a deal, anyone interested let me know (cecilia_marshall@yahoo.com).

We’ve all been talking about road tripping to the DC BBQ Festival in June but I just came across another festival on June 20th that we may want to do instead, it’s called the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival …did I mention that there’s also a mechanical bull?
